These are designed to keep our clients aware of changes within our products lines as well as to educate users or potential clients on the features of our products. Many of these workshops are free and are held as a service to our client base.

Special Webex Presentations - "Making Your Library Accessible"

The issue of accessibility to library services has become a hot topic since the introduction of new accessibility laws in Ontario. Many Ontario libraries are now compliant with the new government requirements around accessibility but some are still only partly compliant or are non compliant with respect to their abilities to provide documentation in alternative formats.

This WebEx Presentation is an online version of Aroga's panel titled "Creating the Accessible Library" and will fully detail many of the options available to Libraries that will enable them to become compliant with these new government requirements.

Putting LAMP to Work - AAC Strategies for Promoting the Development of Communication for Individuals with Autism

Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) is a therapeutic approach based on neurological and motor learning principles. The goal is to give individuals who are nonverbal or have limited verbal abilities a method of independently and spontaneously expressing themselves in any setting.

LAMP focuses on giving the individual independent access to vocabulary on voice output AAC devices that use consistent motor plans for accessing vocabulary.
